Ok... I’m seriously thinking about getting a credit card. I don’t know much about them and I don’t want to get into trouble with one. Is this a good or bad idea? What all can I use one for? Can u get cash back with one? I really am clueless on this idea…. So….

They are too expensive now. Wait till the rates go down. say under 7% and now if you are late in your payments there's another 17.9% - to 21.9 %penalty. Never get it paid off.

Dont do it. Best bet is getting a Debit card from your bank. You can only spend what you have. Best way to stay safe. If you want one to get credit rateing. Buy small stuff. Keep a small ballance. Pay on time. If you dont thay will kill kittens and make you watch. Im not jokeing.

If this is your first credit card and you need credit but dont need the debt then get it and set the limit as low as one months paycheck maybe a thousand dollars. Use the credit card to pay for everything then right one check a month to pay your bills. That will build you credit and wont get you in deep water. If its credit you need to buy something go to a bank, state employees credit union or something where you will understand the terms of the credit.

Thanks...yea I need some credit. Everywhere I go people tell me no because I don't have credit! I would have to have a lot of self control with one. That's for sure...

When I first got my cc years ago, I would use it to establish credit, and I would make sure I had the money in the bank to pay it off immediately.
